can you give me a list of RF coil companies/labs in the US?

gradient preemphasis
Is the gradient preemphasis still used in the up-to-date MRI scanner equipped with the shielded gradient coil? Does the preemphasis become unnecessary in the future, or is it continued to be used?

I wonder if it has anything to do with the placement (location) of the wrist within the scanner. Assuming that your using the scanners coil as a reciever- Are you scanning close to the edge of the scanner? The sat band also has to be within the FOV/limits of the scanner.

I suggest trying different locations in the scanner (or using a smaller FOV). It would be strange if you had artefacts in some writs and not in others.

At two times the field-strength you need four times more RF power. (If you keep the duration of the pulse the same...)

But the exact amount of RF power depends on many more system components. Usually 3T transmit coils are shorter compared to 1.5T, such that less than four times the RF power is needed...
