I don't know if you are still interested in purchasing imaginged, but I just wanted to share my experience. I just passed my MRI boards and I prepared for it by reading MRI in Practice and viewing the imagingeded videos. They really complimented each other. The book is very thorough and technical and the videos put it all into everyday language. For me it was helpful to have someone explain many of the concepts. Candi is a great teacher and made it easy to understand...well almost easy..it is MRI afterall! Hope this helps:)

please help me for find user manual siemens avento |
i agree, that you should try to contact siemens directly. if they cannot help you i have an extra copy that i might be able to sent you for a small fee. based on my experience, the manuals really are NOT much help as, performing the required actions needed to complete scans are not fully outlined in the manuals, that usally comes from applications training from the manufacturer. it sounds like you purchased a used system with no applications support. siemens systems are fantastic mri scanners. but you are going to need applications help. i can offer assistance in this area if you would like . i am a chief mri technologist here in ny, and have 23 years mri scanning experience.i have 5 years siemens avanto expertise, performing body, msk, neuro, angio and breast mri and biopsy experience. you can contact me at my email mcl1956m@aol.com

How to fill the K-space? |
Hi,
i've been learning MRI for some weeks, and i really want to know that when we use the spin-echo sequences, how can we fill the data into K-space line by line?
i learned the steps of spatial encoding, but i need the algorithm, or the equations, or the quantitative way to fill the K-space.
thanks a lot!

James, I echo your feelings. I pretty much decided, after completing MIC, that maybe I really didn't want to take the registry! It is very intimidating.

question about resolution in an MRI |
Hello,
I have to hold a lecture about the resolution in MRIs.
My problem is, that I do not really understand if the resolution in an MRI can be compared with the "standard" resolution terms that you learn in physics. For example that the resolution equals 1/the distance of two points that you can see seperately.
Those equations go for optic devices like microscopes, right? Do they also account for an MRI?
And generally, how do you define resolution in an MRI and how can you enhance or change it in the practical use?
It would be great if you could help me. I have been looking for more information on the internet, but I didn't really find websites that answered my questions. Maybe you know some informative and helpful sites?
Thanks.
