Quench
That is really too much.
Did the quenches occur during helium filling? A not correct vacuum in the filling equipment can cause it.
Other possibilities are icing by condensation, leakage or other damage. Ask the manufacturer or service engineer of your MRI scanner if they can install a quench monitoring to find out the reason.

Good luck

LUNGS MRI
the people you are looking for are the Duke CIVM, they are the real experts who pioneered hyperpolarized gas imaging of the lungs and hold all relevant patents to it.

MRV--Phase contrast question
What exactly is an MRV sequence on an Hitachi Airis II .3 Tesla?
I realize it has to do with the venus system but if anyone knows anything I sure would appreciate your time and knowledge concerning this.

Also The physician I am working under(Neurologist), he would like to see my MRAs done with a phase encoding protocall? Is there such a thing? I hope someone out there can give me some knowledgable info on this. Thank you Sheila/Georgia :)

LUNGS MRI
A TIME AGO I HAVE HEARD ABOUT A CERTAIN GAS ( WITH A KIND OF SPECIAL POLARITY ) THAT MAKES THE MR OF THE LUNGS REALLY BETTER WITH THE PATIENT HOLDING HIS BREATH WITH IT INSIDE.
ANY NEWS ABOUT IT ?
