I think it's better to plan both ureters, put the pack of slices exactly coronal on an axial abdomen slice including both kidneys, take care on a sagital slice to give an angle parallel to spine but including the bladder and the space behind it, use foldover direction (siemens) or Rfov 1 (GE), fov 400-450, sl thick 0.80-1mm, open the 3d slice pack as much as needed, use navigator-pace (siemens) or triggering (GE).
A preparation of diet is needed some times, additional sequences (haste, fiesta, vibe+iv or lava+iv contr) are necessary.

Merging stacks |
Easily done on Siemens, should be possible on GE. Don't know about others.
Siemens: In the "VIEWING" tab start with stack ( 1 ). Select the series and "Save As" to a new name. Then, go to stack ( 2 ), select the series and choose APPEND TO AN EXISTING..... from the "Save As" options. Do the same for stack ( 3 ).

It looks like it may be be a capacitor or some kind. Siemens uses a lot of internal parts that don't match or compare to GE or Philips and most of their caps are there's and you might want to try looking in: alibaba for china/japan makers. If you can remove the other one and attach it to a capacitor reader or bench analyzer might help also. A digital multimeter would rule out resistor or diode.

Volume Coil info in DICOM Header? |
Hello, I need to find out what type of head coil was used for several studies that our lab has run in the past. Essentially I just need to know the number of channels. I've used the dicomread and dicominfo commands in Matlab to no avail, but I've had some luck using syngo (from Siemens) on some of our later studies. I want to check for my sanity that this is possible to do, but if it is not, I'm curious if there are other techniques for finding out this information, rather than just eyeballing the quality of the the scan images. Thanks -Jack
