Query on PROPELLER enhancement |
I looked at an MRI from 2016 I originally had for a tongue swelling to see if it might show evidence for Optic neuritis which I believe I had at that time. I noticed coronal slices show the outer circumference of the optic nerve as especially bright and ragged or irregular along much of the length (both eyes). This looks like donut sign for ON but I wonder if it could be an artefact of the imaging process as it used something called PROPELLER which I believe enhances the image. An axial slice also appears to show the tram track sign. Can anyone comment. I have uploaded a screenshot of just a single coronal slice

2D / 3D MRI for brain tumors diagnosis |
Hello
I am a research master student, my thesis on artificial intelligence and MRI in the process of diagnosing brain tumors, the objective is to determine the type of tumor in the image.
I have not found the advantages of using a 2D image in the diagnostic process instead of 3D images, since the 3D image is richer and can be copied into two dimensional slices as well.
What role does the 2D image play in the tumor diagnostic process ?

In MR cardio exams I perform a sequence called trufi-frequencyScout-multi.
This sequence provides several images (from a same slice) each one with a specific frequency.
After this, we choose the better image and use its frequency value as an entry in the cine subsequent sequences.
The question is: Where do I find the place to insert this Value in the Cine sequence?
I travelled all the cine sequence away and could not find.
Anyone can help?
Thanks a lot.
