Proton Density and FOV
I've been told that proton density sequences don't work well with a large field of view. (approx 350-400) Is this the case, and why?

Thanks in advance,

Annika

What´s this in L3?
I´m a Dutch Physiotherapist and not trained in reading MRI images.
Yesterday my last client brought a CD with MRI-images on his first visit. He experiences a lot of lumbar pain, takes lots of painkillers and had a HNP operation earlier.

There is something strange about L3. Can you tell me what it is?

The doctor only told him there was no reason to think he had neurological problems but never mentioned this.

The BEST study guide is Medical Imaging Consultants: MRI Registry Review Program. They guarantee you will pass or your money back. I studied for 6 months and passed.

MR jobs
Rajani,

If you have appropriate electronics training and experience it is relatively easy to get a job "servicing" MRI. R&D and other jobs are a little more difficult, but all manufacturers are looking for trainees in both their service and developement departments.

Start at the major OEM's websites (GE, Philips, Siemens, Hitachi, Toshiba etc.) and view their "career opportunities." I'm sure you'll find something.

Third party companies are also looking for trainees. Do a search on Google or Yahoo for "MRI Service" and you'll find many sites with job openings.

Good Luck,
Dan McGuan
