Feridex/endorem and bone MRI
I would like to label cells with a paramagnetic particle to see it in vivo by MRI after implantation inside a bone defect.
I am thinking on feridex/endoderm, it has contrast effect T2, predominantly negative enhacement.
Does anybody know something about this?
Will I be able to see this kind of signal by MRI? White or blak?
Thanks a lot.

Siemen MRI Concerto
I am looking to buy the open MRI Siemen Concerto to be shipped to Tanzania. The reason I am looking open MRI is due to poor technology in Tanzania, lack of Helium, low maintanance machine and ... Is there anyone who has different thought or Ideal? What are the posibility to find MOBILE concerto? Do you know anyone who has this in stock?

Any thought or ideals will help. Thank you

Gradient modes
Does changing the gradient mode from "fast" to "whisper" have an effect on the image quality? I just did a PD FS on a knee and compared two sequences that were exactly the same except for one was "fast" and the other was "whisper", which also changed the TR and TE very slightly (TR from 1970 - 2100 and TE from 29 - 31). The whisper sequence was noticeably lower quality and I can't figure out why.

Which MRI machine to buy?
Sandra,

Yes, this is our first MRI machine, we are currently a broker. Through more research I agree with you and have decided on finding a GE Echospeed Plus, they can be found for around 250k and seem to offer great "bang for the buck"

Your thoughts?

STIR-TR
Is there a rule regarding what the TR should be for a STIR sequence? If so, is the 'rule' different for 1.5 and 3.0 Tesla?

thnx
