Angle between the net magnetization vector before and after a RF excitation pulse. Small tip angles allow a decrease in TR, which is used to decrease scan time in Field Echo pulse sequences. See Flip Angle.

Bruker Medical Inc. provides a wide range of instruments that incorporate MR imaging technology. The TOMIKON series includes MRI instruments for routine clinical applications, S50 (0.5T), S100 (1.0T), and S200 (2.0T).

Tomography is imaging by sections or sectioning. A device used in tomography is called a tomograph, while the image produced is a tomogram. The mathematical basis for tomographic imaging was laid down by Johann Radon. It is applied in computed tomography and magnetic resonance tomography (MRT) also called magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to obtain cross-sectional images of slices through the body of patients. Each of that slices is defined by thickness and spatial resolution (see voxel).

A vector quantity given by the vector product of the force and the position vector where the force is applied; for a rotating body, the torque is the product of the moment of inertia and the resulting angular acceleration.

Toshiba Medical Systems started 1914 and was a leading diagnostic imaging manufacturer with departments including research, development, production, service and support of medical imaging equipment and systems. 1976 Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. (TAMS) was founded to coordinate sales and service for previously established business operations in the USA.

In March 2016 Toshiba sold its Toshiba Medical Systems for $6 billion to Japan's Canon. After regulatory approval the company got renamed to Canon Medical Systems.
