(UBO) Subcortical 'bright objects' are commonly displayed on high field MR of the brain. These subcortical high signal intensity foci have been verified to be caused by tangential cross-sectional images of gyri and sulci.

Most units and measurements used in MRI can be found in the lookup table.

Unshielded electric components in the magnet room will excite RF noise artifacts (interference) in different variations. RF 'buzz' will be seen over a range of frequencies on the images. The artifact runs in frequency encoding direction.

Take care to use only MR compatible (special shielded) devices.

The Upright™ MRI is the only device that can scan patients in the position their symptoms occur, in their position of pain. In early clinical reports independently confirm the effectiveness and potential of positional MRI. In October 2000, Fonar received permission to market the Indomitable™ from the FDA.
